Northwest
Area Foundation Awards $165,000 to ICUF
In March, the
Northwest Area Foundation (NWAF) awarded ICUF a $165,000 grant. The
money awarded will be used by ICUF help increase the number of Iowa
credit unions offering financial education, reaching the Hispanic
market and Individual
Development Accounts for working Iowans.

May
7 Scholarship Deadline is Approaching Quickly
The next deadline
to apply for ICUF scholarships is Friday, May 7. Applications
need to be received or postmarked by this date. Email and fax
submissions are acceptable.
The AWJ Scholarship helps
defray the cost of attending the June 2010 CUNA Management School
for a credit union employee.
The League
President's Scholarship provides Iowa credit unions, their
employees and their chapters with funding for ICUL education
events, national schools, internal educational activities,
community educational projects and certification programs.

Mark Your
Calendars for ICUF's 2010 Financial
Success Symposium & Golf Classic!
The Symposium will be held at Forté Conference
Center in Des Moines Tuesday,
June 8 and will feature various education sessions
on financial education, an IDA panel of savers and more. That
evening, please make sure to join us for the annual Spring Vendor
Showcase. This free event is a great way to connect with vendors
and peers in a fun environment and win prizes from participating
exhibitors.
Also, don't miss the opportunity to participate in
the ICUF Golf Classic at Blank Golf Course
on June
9th! This is a wonderful opportunity to support
ICUF and its many initiatives.

Help
Support the 2010 ICUF Silent Auction
Now is a great
time to start collecting items for the annual ICUF Silent Auction
being held at the Iowa Credit Union Convention September 22-24 in
Bettendorf.
All proceeds will
assist ICUF's programs and services to benefit your credit union,
staff and members.
ICUF is a 501c3
charitable foundation and personal donations to it are deductible
to the extent allowed by law (donations are not deductible if given
through the credit union).
Please consult
your tax advisor for more information regarding charitable
deductions. ICUF will provide written receipts of donations.
