ICUF Fundraising Campaign Currently at $35,165
 Since its founding, ICUF has helped hundreds of families and Iowa credit union staff through grants and scholarships, matched savings and financial education.
We've been able to achieve our success through the generous support of our Iowa credit union community.
We're writing today to ask you to protect and sustain ICUF. We rely on donations from you and your credit union in order to serve our philanthropic mission. In order to keep our operations going, we really need your support. We are currently at $35,165 of our $100,000 goal.

2012 FIB Scholarship Now Available!
Essay Question
Unfortunately, many Americans try to avoid money matters altogether and deal with problems as they arise. However, even with some knowledge about managing finances, you can maintain a healthy financial life. How are you educating yourself on personal finance and money management issues?
Please include how you can utilize your credit union's financial education expertise.

Central Iowa/America Saves Week: Feb. 19-26
Dates for the Central Iowa/America Saves Week have been set for February 19-26, 2012. The goal of this week is to promote the value of saving and reducing debt.

If you credit union would be interested in hosting a financial education or other event during this week, you can post the event at no cost on www.everyonecansave.org.
The website is maintained by Joanne Kuster. Joanne can be reached at joanne@kusterltd.com.
There will be free materials available your credit union can use including:
- Comic books
- Piggy banks
- Tip sheets (available in English and Spanish.)

Updated 2012 Money Smart Week Information
The dates of the 2012 Iowa Money Smart Week are April 21-28.
Money Smart Week (MSW) is a statewide program and all credit unions are welcome to host events. Planning committees for 2012 include:
- Cedar Falls/Waterloo
Cedar Rapids/Iowa City
- Council Bluffs
- Creston
- Des Moines
- Dubuque
- Harlan
- Quad Cities
New this Year! In order to post an event to the MSW website, you must first register as a Partner. Visit www.moneysmartweek.org/iowa to register. You will be prompted to indicate what kind of partner your credit union is. Partner categories include:
- Planning Partner - by participating with a planning committee
- Sponsorship Partner - by providing sponsorship for the newspaper insert
- Events Partner - by hosting an event
Also new this year, Money Smart Week will have a presence on Twitter (@moneysmartiowa) and on Facebook (Money Smart Week Iowa.)

- Newspaper insert - with financial education articles (any quantity)
