Financial Education Grant

The ICUF Financial Education Grant was created to help credit unions develop a financial education program or enhance an existing financial education program.

Thirty schools in Iowa were each awarded $1,000 from the National Financial Capability Challenge, a financial literacy test given to high school students to encourage educators to teach personal finance to students.  

Fifty-four schools in Iowa met the qualifications, and 30 were randomly awarded prize money. Iowa had the fifth-largest participation of schools in the nation. 

Iowa Credit Unions Look Forward to Individual Development Account Funds 

Twenty-one credit unions in Iowa who have partnered with ICUF to offer lower income members individual development accounts will have close to an additional $225,000 in state funds. Read more.

Small Grants Help Iowa Credit Unions with Tech Costs

A lobby coin-changing machine is too expensive for a small Iowa credit union to afford by itself, but small credit union grants from ICUF may be able to help pay for it.  

A $10,000 annual donation from Veridian Credit Union enables ICUF to make grants for technology and strategic planning to Iowa credit unions with assets under $25 million. Read more.
