Iowa Schools Win Cash for Financial Literacy
Thirty schools in Iowa were each awarded $1,000 from the National Financial Capability Challenge, a financial literacy test given to high school students to encourage educators to teach personal finance to students.
Fifty-four schools in Iowa met the qualifications, and 30 were randomly awarded prize money. Iowa had the fifth-largest participation of schools in the nation.
